The
Hollister Thompson Band has
been entertaining Western Connecticut since 2001. With
diverse backgrounds and influences, each member brings a different
nuance to their overall sound. This
is made obvious in the range of genres that make up their set list.
HTB has performed from the New Haven area to the Naugatuck Valley
and into Greater Danbury and Norwalk in local favorite haunts such as JC
Hooks, The Brewhouse, The Windmill, 100 Church Hill, Rider’s Cafe and
Danny O’s as well as social clubs, benefits and private parties.
They have a following that continues to grow and loyal fans are
NOT afraid to travel! Lisa
started playing guitar and singing when she was 14. Influences
come from bands like Violent Femmes, Pretenders, L7 and Concrete Blonde,
Lucinda Williams and Aimee Mann. Past bands include The Sundogs, Bad
Cervix (an original band - playing punk style rock) and Gone Bad
(acoustic/oldies). Being
the lead guitarist and resident head-banger of HTB is just the latest
chapter in J.J.'s musical
career. Early bands include Raven Supper and The Hollow, who shared the
stage with national acts such as The Ramones, Madame X and Red Alert.
His influences range from punk and metal to Chuck Berry and Stevie Ray
Vaughan. Besides
playing bass with such notables as The Dave Kaplan Trio, Zoa's Arc, RPM
Theatre and Caribou Gone, Pete
has been the drummer for The Metroes, played trombone with the Glen Rock
Pops and viola with the Cedarvale Quartet, Livingston Symphony Orchestra
and Danbury Symphony Orchestra. Tex
started playing drums in his early teens. Before hooking up with
HTB, he has played punk rock with The Squad, weddings with NightLife,
original rock with Caribou Gone, acoustic/oldies with Gone Bad and
country/western with Dry County, The Country Rebels and White Lightnin'
(who were voted one of the top ten country groups in Connecticut).
His influences range from punk to country and from classic rock to
Irish folk music. |
